Nothing on their menu specifically states any item as gluten free. Perhaps the tacos or enchiladas (depending on the tortilla used), or the guacamole salad will work. I suggest calling to confirm.
$18 steamed or $15 frozen
Yummy, yummy "it's like love at my mummies!
They do not have hamburgers. If you don't know what else to have, I recommend their bean stuffed soppapilla dinner with green on the side
Yes, but you must order something to eat too.
Small groups are walk in. If you arrive after, you will most likely stand on line for a table. This is a family business, and the family is very friendly. Mr. and Mrs. Padilla are there everyday.
I believe u can get it with and without
No
Padilla's is a staple in Albuquerque. Great New Mexican food, with good sized portions, authentic atmosphere, and cheap prices. Padilla's has always been cash only so come prepared. I enjoyed one of the daily specials. The carne adovada burrito is amazing done Christmas with an egg. I recommend this place for all tourists, it is a local favorite!
The blue corn enchilada plate is a crave-able, can't-get-it-anywhere-else, must-have meal. I make the visit to this place 3very time I am in Albuquerque, often planning my trip to be in town during their open hours. The food is consistently great, and the service is spot on. Do not skip the sopapillas.
My family and I were there for Balloon Fiesta for the first time and we had lunch here. Great food, great price and great service. We will definitely stop back by next Fiesta!
Really good New Mexican food. Tasty. 3 of us went and we all finished everything. Kind lady at the front helped us out. Just a great lunch experience.
Home style, casual dining and a local eatery. Cash only! Didn't know this till I arrived, so wanted to share that ;-) be prepared. I tried the blue corn enchilada (more like a quesadilla) but very good as many reviews have shared. My server put the red and green chili on the side for me, they were delicious and so flavorful complete satisfied my taste for New Mexican chili on my visit here. Family business
Delish and great price!! It was super busy around 6pm but way worth it!!!#8 was perfect!!!Oh, they're old school --- CASH ONLY!!!!!Way worth it so plan accordingly!!
Authentic high quality Mexican cuisine with budget friendly prices
Love this place! Been coming for over a decade, and the food hasn't changed. Family run, and cash-only. If you go during lunch, expect a line (but it is quick). Fast, friendly service!
Hands down my favorite New Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque! The Sopapilla’s are amazing, but even better is the Relleno Plate. It’s a little divey, but this small operation is a hidden gem. Cash only and only open on the weekdays but when you are as good as they are it’s worth it!
Outstanding food. Great Customer service. Have been going for 20 years!!!!
Excellent friendly service. One of the best tamales we eaten. Good kick to the enchilada sauce. Tacos are nothing special, but we're great for our kids. My buritto was fantastic. Especially love the green sauce. And of course the sopapillas were the perfect finish. Keep up the good work!!!
Great service (thanks Phillip) and food. Evidently pretty famous spot to locals. Not much ambience except for a packed house chowing down on theirs food. Famous for their enchiladas, so my daughter in law went that direction. I enjoyed their meat burrito. Homemade chips are just the kind I like: thick and crunchy! I tried a combo of half red chili and the other half green chili. Today... the red wins for spicy, the green wins for mellow and tasty. You will be glad you went.
This place is awesome! The food is tasty & priced very well. Staff is super friendly & speedy. I couldn't get to 5 stars for a couple of minor reasons: for starters is the closing time which is 7:45. Another restaurant in town closes at 2:00pm so I guess it could be worse but by 7:15 they're stacking chairs (loudly) & closing up. It's pretty obvious they want you gone at or before 7:45. The place itself could use a remodel as well. Both of these are very minor negatives though so don't let the lack of one star scare you away. Very good Mexican food at a very good price so a couple of imperfections are acceptable.
Was not disappointed here! The food was delicious authentic New Mexican food! A must try! My favorite was the beef taco, it was made like my mom used to make them when I was a kid. Ground beef & papas (potatoes) amazing!
I have never had a bad meal here. Always served hot and delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My favorite local food joint.
New Mexico is known for both it’s red and green chili. At Padilla’s both sauces are perfect, full of flavor and will satisfy your taste buds. I ordered the blue corn chicken enchiladas with both green and red sauce. It comes with rice, beans and two sopapillas to clean the plate clean of the delicious sauces. Service was quick friendly and the food came crazy quick. Make sure to bring cash as this place does not accept credit cards. I left happy and full. You will too.
Absolute great find as we travelled through Albuquerque! Blue corn Chile rellenos for me; a fabulous burger for my Sweetie!Probably 10 other items on the menu I would have loved to try! Great drinks and local brews on tap. Ask for Katy as your server. She was as awesome as the food!! Can't wait to stop again on the reverse side of our trip.
My server put the red and green chili on the side for me, they were delicious and so flavorful complete satisfied my taste for New Mexican chili on my visit here. Family business, home cooking food feel and welcoming. The grandson, close to my little nephews age blew me away with his confidence helping the family and customers, he took my bill and handled it beautifully
I used to come here twenty years ago with my grand parents. Nothing has changed. The food was great. Quick service.
This family owned business has the best New Mexican food in the city. Hands down! You cannot beat their sopaipillas. As close to home cooking as you can get
Their sopapillas are so fluffy and airy. Probably the best ones I've had here in New Mexico
Excellent quality food with great service in a family atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and food came out of the kitchen hot and delicious. I'll definitely be back. Bring $CASH$ they do not take cards.
I've been going to Padilla's with my parents since I was a kid and now my partner and I enjoy delicious meals there. I love how it's family-owned/operated and the food never disappoints. Honestly, it's the only green chile in town that I truly love. The enchiladas are awesome and the rice is the best I've ever tasted!
We've been going to this place for years - the food is great.
Had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. Wasn't hot. The service was good. Food came out fast. I can see it's well liked by the locals.
Incredible restraint that is hidden in Albuquerque. I used yelp to help me find a place to eat, and this place showed up as a favorite. I was a little surprised when I arrived how small the place seemed, but what surprised me was how incredible the food was. I ordered the blue corn enchilada which was incredible!!! But what really got me were the sopapillas!
Like the food, nice service. Nice employees. "Ill be Back!" Like Arnold would say..
My family and I have been coming here for almost 30 years.. and we will be coming for another 30! The food is so authentic and delicious.
The best traditional New Mexican cuisine anywhere. Great staff in a family owned business. For me, dining there after being in Washington DC for two years completed my home-coming.
